1. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)

If you are a consumer purchasing from within the European Union, you have the legal right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day you receive the goods.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us by email at:

You may use a clear written statement indicating your decision to withdraw.

2. Conditions for Returns

To be eligible for a return:

  • The product must be unopened

  • The seal must be intact

  • The product must be in its original packaging

  • The product must not have been used

You must provide proof of purchase (order number or invoice).

3. Exemption for Food Products

In accordance with Article VI.53 of the Belgian Code of Economic Law and EU Directive 2011/83/EU:

The right of withdrawal does not apply to sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed.

This includes:

  • Opened bottles or tins of olive oil

  • Any food product with a broken seal

Opened food products cannot be returned for refund.

4. Return Procedure

To initiate a return:

  1. Contact us at iwantsome@alaiaoil.com

  2. Wait for confirmation and return instructions

  3. Ship the product to the address provided

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the product is defective or incorrectly delivered.

We recommend using a tracked shipping service.

5. Refunds

Once the returned product is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If approved:

  • The refund will be processed within 14 days

  • The refund will be issued via the original payment method

  • Original shipping costs will be refunded only in case of full withdrawal

Return shipping costs are not refundable unless the item is defective.

6. Damaged or Incorrect Items

If you receive a product that is:

  • Damaged in transit

  • Defective

  • Incorrect

You must contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

Please include:

  • Order number

  • Description of issue

  • Photographic evidence

In such cases, we will offer:

  • Replacement product, or

  • Full refund, including shipping costs

7. Sale Items

Discounted items may be refunded unless explicitly stated otherwise at the time of purchase.

8. Business Customers (B2B)

For business customers, the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Returns for B2B orders are subject to prior written agreement.
